With islands scattered across the Indian Ocean Seychelles offers diverse and impressive diving opportunities. Enjoy an immense variety of marine life, schools of pelagic fish, colorful corals and have a chance of an exciting encounter with whale sharks or manta rays.
The different islands each have their own special sites. The northerly sites has impressive granite reef locations where the sculptured rocks are covered with soft corals and sponges. The southerly sides have wall dives, drop-off dives and drift diving opportunities as well. The Ennerdale Wreck and Brissare rocks are ones of the worlds renowned sites.
On the outer islands, to discover are the little-visited sites whereby sand cays, caves and canyons. Impressive dive sites are also found at the world famous legendary Aldabra atoll. Best Dive Season
Diving in Seychelles is possible all year round but is governed by the islands position and the prevailing winds. The best diving season is in the calm periods, April to June and October to December, when the water temperature can rise to 30ºC and visibility often over 35 metres on offshore sites.

Seychelles 115 islands are categorized under 2 groups; the tall granitic islands which are clustered Inner Island within the shallow Seychelles plateau and the low lying coralline islands which are the Outer Islands mainly lying beyond the plateau up to 10° up to the equator. The abundance of wahoo, sailfish, dorado, tuna, rainbow runner and trophies such as marlin, make for an unforgettable big-game fishing experience for both the seasoned and novice fisherman alike. Traditional bottom-fishing produces a dazzling array of grouper, job fish, snappers and emperors, rewarding you with some of the finest tasting fish on offer anywhere in the world. Not to be missed is the excitement of night-fishing for pickhandle barracuda or shark off a variety of island locations. Some of Seychelles' most wild and wonderful spots may be explored on foot. Nature trails up into the mountains are very well laid out, and you can pick up an informative, inexperience handbook at tourist Office in Victoria. These will enable you to tackle some of the treks by yourself, but to safely explore the truly off-beaten track places, it is required that you book a professional guide.
Although some tracking may be steep at the beginning but upon arriving at the summit the rewards are great!! The views are stunning, as is the experience of walking in the virgin cloud forest surrounded by unique flora and fauna which can be seen nowhere else on earth. There are a variety of easy walks up the magical mist forests on Mahe, Praslin and Silhouette, and for those who want to test their strength choices are limitless.
